Michael Bellamente - Project Director of UNH affiliate Climate Counts
As project director of UNH affiliate Climate Counts, Mike Bellamente manages the organization's day-to-day operations while developing on-campus stakeholder engagement efforts related to Climate Counts' mission. Recognized nationally for their work in helping consumers make informed purchasing decisions, Climate Counts performs annual rankings of nearly 150 major corporations on their climate leadership. In addition to supporting the UNH partnership, Mike is responsible for overseeing Climate Counts' annual company ranking process, implementing strategic initiatives that broaden the reach and impact of the organization's corporate rankings, and further developing the Climate Counts Industry Innovator program, a fee-based membership service for companies interested in reducing their impact on the environment.
Mike received an MBA in International Business from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Plymouth State University. Prior to joining Climate Counts, Mike worked in both the nonprofit world and the private sector doing business development, marketing, sales and program management. He believes strongly in the philosophy that a market-based society has the potential to operate symbiotically with the natural world.
