Judy Koski - Profile in Sustainability
Thank you for over 39 years of service to UNH, especially to green cleaning. You are a sustainability champion!
Why is UNH Housekeeping committed to its green cleaning program called “The Green Sweep?”
The UNH Housekeeping staff feel responsible to the community to insure we use the best, safest, and most beneficial products and procedures.
In your more than 39 years at UNH, what has been the biggest sustainability-related change that you’ve seen?
Definitely the chemical changes. I have used cleaning chemicals that disintegrated the bottom of my shoes. Today the safest available chemicals are used in the Green Seal and EcoLogo products we use in our work.
What motivates you personally to be involved in sustainability?
Because it is the right thing to do! Can you imagine what the world would be like for our grandchildren if we don’t?
